William Brandon Moore

William Brandon Moore, 41, of Cameron, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at his home.

Graveside funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5, at the Oak Hill Pavilion with Deniece Vestal officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.

Mr. Moore was born Jan. 12, 1976, in McKinney, to William Bernard Moore and Janie Carter. He married the love of his life, Jennifer Lea Fischer, on June 8, 1996.  He had worked for Flowers Construction. 

He is survived by: wife, Jennifer Moore of Cameron; sons, Jacob Moore of Cameron and Zachary Moore of Cameron; daughter, MeKayla Moore of Cameron; mother, Janie Charanza of Rockdale; brother, Daryl Doulder of Waller and Jason Moore of Pittsburgh, Ohio; sisters, Mitzi Doulder of Rockdale, Christy Cornelius of Hearne, Amber Huckaby of West Columbia, and Cassie Moore of Montgomery, Penn.; and granddaughter, Rylin Moore.

Sharon Sue Harber

Sharon Sue Harber, 76, of Denton, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, in a Denton Nursing Home. 

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 25, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.  Burial was in the Rice Cemetery. 

Ms. Harber, was born July 14, 1941, in Briartown, Okla., to William and Ruby (Hunt) Wise. She retired from GTE where she worked for 20+ years and was formally married to Kenneth Harber of Cameron.   

She is survived by: son, James Harber of Bryan; daughters, Rhonda Smith of Decatur and Robin Alderete of Bryan; brothers, Charles Wise of Cameron, Russell Wise of Rosebud, Harvey Wise of Bryan, and Clell Wise of Bryan; sisters, Margie Horton of Humble and Theresa Klecka of Buckholts; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.

Michael Allen Goodwin

Michael Allen Goodwin, 61, of Cameron, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at his home. 

Graveside memorial services will be held Saturday, Dec. 9, at the North Elm Cemetery Pavilion near Cameron.

Mr. Goodwin was born Jan. 25, 1956, in Seattle, Wash., to Glenn and Josephine (Tharp) Goodwin. He retired from the U.S. Army and then worked with U.S. Civil Service.

His wife, Denise Goodwin, preceded him in death earlier this year. 

He is survived by: sons, Michael Goodwin Jr. of Lufkin and Lawrence Donald of Dallas; daughters, Melanie Johnson of Zavalla and Nickole Lee of Dallas; father, Glenn Goodwin of Conroe; brothers, David Goodwin of Conroe, Joel Liotta and Frankie Liotta; sisters, Susan Horton of Wortham, Debbie Wolfe, and Dana O’Neil; and seven grandchildren.

Rosalinda Ramirez

Rosalinda Ramirez, 33, of Cameron died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, in a Cameron hospital. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron. Burial will follow in the Hernandez Cemetery. A prayer service will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Rosalinda was born Oct. 23, 1984, in Cameron to Robert and Hope (Jaramillo) Ramirez. She graduated from C.H.Yoe High School.

She is survived by: her parents, Robert and Hope Ramirez of Cameron; sister, Alicia Al-Jaraab of Cameron; brother, Roberto Ramirez of Cameron; grandmothers, Lupe Jaramillo and Isabel Ramirez; and nieces, Aysha and Amani.

William Herman Hoelscher

William Herman Hoelscher, 83, of Cameron died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017, in a Temple hospital. 

Graveside services will be held Friday, Dec. 1, at St. Monica’s Catholic Cemetery in Cameron with Rev. Dimitrij Colankin officiating.

Mr. Hoelscher, a retired machine operator for Wilson Plastics was born Aug. 26, 1934, to Herman and Anna (Wiltschek) Hoelscher. He was a Catholic.

He is survived by his brothers, Paul Hoelscher of Dallas and Albert Hoelscher of Austin; and sister, Sr. Hermana Hoelscher of Bridgeton, Mo.

Vernon Hugo Reimer

Vernon Hugo Reimer, 88, of Thorndale, passed away on Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, at the S.P.J.S.T Nursing Home in Taylor.

Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at 10 a.m.  Graveside services will follow at Hope Lutheran Memorial Park Cemetery in Buckholts at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale on Thursday, Nov. 30, from 5-7 p.m.

Vernon was born on Oct. 11, 1929, in Cameron, to Philip and Emma (Randermann) Reimer. He was baptized on Nov. 24, 1929, at Hope Lutheran Church in Buckholts, and he was confirmed at the same church on May 20, 1945. He was raised on the family farm in Buckholts.  He attended Cameron schools and graduated from Cameron Yoe High School in 1948. 

Following high school, Vernon was inducted into the service and proudly served in the U.S. Army until he was honorably discharged in July 1953.

JoAnn Janicek

Graveside services were held for JoAnn Janicek on Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Seaton Cemetery, with Rev. Billy Crow officiating.  Mrs. Janicek, 74, of Rogers,  passed away Friday, Nov. 24, in a Temple hospital. Visitation was held from 1:30-2 p.m. at the cemetery.

Mrs. Janicek was born Aug. 13, 1944, in Bell County, Texas, to Joe and Polly (Benight) Hill. She married Edward Janicek, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and lived her entire life in Rogers.

She is survived by cousins Edward and Ruby Hill of Rogers, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother.

Karen Gilbert

Karen Gilbert, 60, of Cameron died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, in a Temple hospital.  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, at the First Baptist Church in Cameron. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.

Karen was born July 15, 1957, in Midland to Leiland and Anne (Upham) Keith. She received her Bachelor’s degree from University of Mary Hardin Baylor.  She married Ronnie Gilbert on July 27, 1996.  Karen had worked as the Assistant Registrar for the University of Mary Hardin Baylor for over 20 years and had be the Office Administrator for the First Baptist Church in Cameron for the 11 years. She had been a member of the FFA Booster Club, serving as treasurer.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1985.

Kate Paden McLane Dimmitt

Kate Paden McLane Dimmitt passed peacefully to her forever home with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at the age of 83. Following a brief illness, she finished her work on earth surrounded by beloved family and reunited with her heavenly loved ones.

Novaline Nell (Felfe) Woelfel

Novaline Nell (Felfe) Woelfel was born in her parent’s home, outside of Thorndale, on April, 20, 1932, to Amanda Sidonia (Lehman) and Oscar Walter Felfe.  She was baptized May 8, 1932, and confirmed in her faith at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Thorndale, and attended school at St. Paul Lutheran School and Thorndale High School. She was married to Louis (Sammy) Alton Woelfel on May 6, 1951.  She and Sammy enjoyed 66 years of marriage together.

Novaline was blessed with four daughters, Geneva, Sandra, Janet and Shirley. In time, she was blessed with four sons-in-law, 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and has another due to arrive in December.
