Final this weekend performances for MCT comedy 'Noises Off'

Flavia (Kelita Thomas), Phillip (Tristan Torres) and Mrs. Clackett (Tia Stone) in a scene from the Milam Communty Theater production of Noises Off!

In opening weekend performances, Milam Community Theater’s fall production of “Noises Off!” had theater goers rolling in the aisles.
A classic British farce by Michael Frayn, “Noises Off!” is a play about a play where backstage antics and relationships threaten to wreck the actual performance. Once the lights come up, there is no break in the comedy as “Noises Off!” actors rehearse at the last minute trying to open an already questionable play (“Nothing On”) about doors and, of all things, sardines.
“That’s what it’s all about. Doors and sardines. Getting on — getting off. Getting the sardines on — getting the sardines off. That’s farce. That’s the theater. That’s life.” exclaims frustrated Nothing On director Lloyd, in one scene.
