Yoe rolls over Manor New Tech, 76-0
Service Directory
Cameron scored early and often and managed to play everyone on the entire roster in a 76-0 win over Manor New Tech last Friday night.
Things didn't look good early, as the Yoemen were forced to warm-up in the dark before heading to the locker room. Fortunately, the lights were turned on at 7:00 pm and the Yoemen proceeded to light up the scoreboard, putting up 42 points alone in the first quarter. It was also a strong night for the defense, which forced seven turnovers and held the Titans to a total of negative 73 yards rushing on the night.
The win not only keeps Cameron perfect in district play at 5-0, but it also wrapped up the number one overall seed in the playoffs.
“It is a big deal,” said Brashear on the importance of the win. “We got the win tonight and they are not a very good team. I was worried there a little bit to try not to score. But, it took care of itself. We got our district championship and with a win next week we will be outright district champions. We just have to keep getting better each and every week. I think our district is a little down overall and hopefully that does not hurt us in the playoffs. That is a concern, but I think we’ll be okay.”

Playoff Venue Update
Cameron knows they will be playing Whitney, West or Groesbeck in the first round of the playoffs, but the location of those games are still the air. The only matchup that would be set would be West, which would take place on Thursday night at 7:00 at Waco ISD. If the games were to be with Whitney or Groesbeck, no decisions have been made on a location. Cameron tried to lock down Waco ISD for Friday night last week, but the Whitney coach did not agree to that and the stadium was lost. There have been talks of playing a home and home series, while options such as Temple and Midway are potential suitors for the games.
