Adam James Wright Mose Price, age 38, of Cameron, passed away on March 27, 2018, from injuries sustained in a fire at his residence.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 14, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Cameron with Rev. Carl Hudson officiating.
He was born on Nov. 3, 1979, to Douglas Wright Price and the late Donna Sue McCall. He attended C. H. Yoe High School where he graduated with honors alongside the class of 1998. During high school he participated in football, Ag and NHS. In his younger years, he played drums in the band, Pee Wee football and was an avid T-ball and baseball player.
Adam was skilled in many trades taught to him by his father and grandfather. He excelled in automotive repair, construction and farming. He spent immeasurable hours beside his father and grandfather hunting in the Texas Hill Country, fishing and on the family farm. He was taught to fly at a young age by his grandfather who was a pilot. Adam was a true outdoorsman, he embodied a passion for arrowhead hunting, canoeing and outdoor exploration. From an early age, he developed a love of traveling in the RV with his grandparents and sister through the mountains of Colorado and New Mexico. Many summers and Christmases were spent with his family at their log cabin in Colorado, where he enjoyed snowmobiling and skiing. Adam also loved to cook, read and do crossword puzzles.
At the time of his passing, Adam was employed with 44 Farms. He worked five years performing farm maintenance.
Adam spent his last one and a half years with the love of his life, Monica. They enjoyed traveling, exploring new places, cooking and stargazing. He loved her with every ounce of his being.
Adam leaves behind his father, Douglas Wright "Shorty" Price and wife Deborah of Cameron; sister, Jennifer Lee Price-Mondragon and husband Isaiah of Austin; paternal grandmother, Frances Ruth Price of Cameron; nephew, Isaiah James Adam "Jimmy" Mondragon of Austin; and loving girlfriend, Monica McDermott of Liberty Hill. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Donna Sue McCall; paternal grandfather, James T. "Jimmy" Price; maternal grandmother, Mittie Lou McCall; and his Aunt Katherine Marie Worley.
