Cameron will return on Friday with Caldwell (9:00 am) and Salado (12:00 pm) to wrap up pool play. The
Yoemen will be in championship play on Saturday. That game time will be determined based on how the pool play games turn out.
Lady Yoe travel to Salado tournament
Just like the boys, the Lady Yoe will also be competing in the Salado tournament this weekend. The ladies will open play on Thursday with McGregor (11:00 am) and Hyde Park (5:00 pm) and will return Friday for games with China Spring (1:30 pm) and Snook (7:30 pm). Cameron will have one game on Saturday and that game time will be decided on the placement finish within the pool. Cameron defeated Austin Travis on Tuesday night, 61-45.
Westbrook tallies more yards
Dede Westbrook once again saw quality playing time in Jacksonville’s 27-24 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Westbrook led the team in receptions with 6 while recording a total of 41 yards. Season leading receiver Marqise Lee led the team with 42 yards in the game, and the Jaguars recorded no passing touchdowns in the loss. Jacksonville, which is now tied with Tennessee in the AFC South at 7-4, will be hosting the Colts this Sunday at noon.
Yoe wrestling underway
Coach Dale Keen and his wrestlers officially have their season in full swing. Both the boys and girls teams competed in the Tom Roman Memorial Tournament from the campus of Arlington High School two weekends ago. Keen noted that sophomore Domanique Borgas quickly pinned all three of his opponents for an impressive start to the new year. Both teams will be back in action this Friday and Saturday from the Capital City Classic in Austin. Weigh in is at 8:00 am.
