Frances Helen Newman Hilton

Frances Helen Newman Hilton ("Pus," "Grandma") received her angel wings on Dec. 2, 2016, at the age of 101.

She was born on Aug. 28, 1915, in Williamson County to Frank and Lena Newman. She had four sisters Nora, Nannie, Edna and Margie and one brother Frank Jr. She was married to Shelby Bratton Hilton Kanak and they were blessed with two daughters, Helen Janell Hilton Felton and Rena Mae Hilton Moerbe. She has six grandchildren: Billie Imbert, Barton Felton, Debbie Stojanik, Donna Kerlin, Gary Moerbe and Leslie Moerbe. She was also blessed with 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; two step-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren. The kids were her pride and joy throughout her life.

Frances was baptized and confirmed at Detmold Lutheran Church by Pastor Bogisch. She loved cooking and baking, working in her yard and garden, sewing and playing games, especially 42 dominoes. She also very much loved her little Pomeranian Fancy. She was an inspiration

to all who knew her.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Bratton Hilton; parents; sisters, Nora, Nannie and Edna; and brother Frank Jr.; her daughter, Janell; and a great-granddaughter.

The family would like to especially thank the nurses and caregivers at the S.PJ.S.T Nursing home in Taylor, Texas, for taking such great care of her and providing friendships and love to her for as

long as she was in their care.

A private celebration of life was held at the Taylor City Cemetery where she was laid to rest alongside her husband, Shelby; daughter, Janell; and a great-granddaughter, Brandy Rochee.

She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
