Reba M. Stanford

Reba M. Stanford, 96, of Beaumont and formerly of Milam County died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, in a Beaumont hospice facility. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Doug Budd officiating. Burial will follow in the Marlow Cemetery. 

Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 21, from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Stanford was born March 30, 1920, in Milam County to Theo F. and Drucilla (Griffin) Burnett. She married D.C. “Carter” Stanford and he preceded her in death on July 27, 2014. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Cameron. 

She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Stanford; and a granddaughter, Shelly Stanford. 

She is survived by her sons, Charles Stanford of Pecos and Kenneth Stanford of Pecos; daughter, Martha Bruce of Beaumont; brother, Albert Burnett of Columbus, Ga.; sisters, Juanita Day of Beaumont and Bobbie Ann Perkins of Cameron; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
