Yoemen go 2-2 in Cameron-Rogers Tournament

The Yoe baseball team went 2-2 in their annual Cameron-Rogers Tournament last week. They go into district play sitting at 4-5 on the season.
The Yoemen began district play with Franklin on Wednesday night after moving the game from its planned Monday slot due to the freezing temperatures. Game results were not available as of press time.
The Yoemen kicked off tournament play with a loss to Brock 7-3 on Thursday. Anthony Layne took the loss for the Yoemen surrendering seven runs on five hits over five innings and striking out two.
Brannon McCall, Bobby Borgas, Luke Greene, Jason Llanas and Layne each managed a hit during the game.
The Yoemen came back in game two on Thursday evening to defeat La Grange 4-2.
After trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning Richie Acosta singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Jason Llanas got the win for the Yoemen, surrendering two runs on four hits over six innings, striking out ten and walking one.
The Yoemen racked up eight hits on the day. Llanas and Acosta managed two hits each for the Yoemen.
The Yoemen fell 10-0 to the New Waverly Bulldogs during their first game on Friday. Acosta took the loss for the Yoemen. Bobby Borgas and Llanas each managed a hit.
Llanas drove in four on two hits to lift the Yoemen over the Whitney Wildcats 14-5 in the late game on Friday. Llanas drove in runs on a single in the second and a triple in the sixth.
McCall got the victory for the Yoemen. He went six innings, allowing five runs on five hits, striking out three and walking one.
Acosta and Llanas collected multiple hits for the Yoemen.
