Susan Rosson

Susan Rosson, 85, of Cameron died Friday, Aug. 12, 2016 in a Waco hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at the First United Methodist Church in Cameron with Rev. Geoff Lightsey officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service time at the church.

Ms. Rosson, a retired school teacher, was born in Cameron on Aug. 12, 1931 to John W. and Ruth (Coleman) Rosson. She graduated from C. H. Yoe High School in 1948, received her undergraduate degree from Southwestern University in Georgetown and her master of science degree in education from Baylor University. 

Her teaching career spanned 45 years, primarily in Cameron where she taught senior English and was the National Honor Society Sponsor. 

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cameron. Susan loved literature, especially Shakespeare; she loved music, especially Alfie Boe and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir; she loved Shih Tzu dogs, especially Mei Ling and Johnny Boy; and she loved football, especially the Dallas Cowboys and the Cameron Yoemen. She is survived by several cousins.
